The Lost Child – Mulk Raj Anand Mulk Raj Anand wrote The Lost Child . It is a short story about a small boy and his parents. The story is set in a village fair during spring. The child goes to the fair with his mother and father. On the way, he sees toys, sweets, flowers, and balloons and wants them, but his parents do not buy them. At the fair, he gets attracted to many things and slowly gets separated from his parents. Soon he realizes he is lost and starts crying. He is happy because he wants to reach home and have a good breakfast with his family. The sky is clear at first, but soon he sees big dark storm clouds in front of him.
