Anne lived in Amsterdam with her father Otto Frank, mother Edith Frank, and sister Margot Frank.  To stay safe from Nazis, they hid in a secret place called the Annex. They lived with the Van Daan family and Mr. Dussel. Life was very hard, and they were always afraid. Anne wrote her feelings in her diary.  In 1944, they were caught and sent to concentration camps.
